I am a man, not far from Rolling Creek in Pike National Forest; continually inspired by this creek. It runs through the Colorado Trail. I go to Rolling Creek, by way of the Rolling Creek Trail. I not only appreciate the creek, but the wilderness around Rolling Creek. This blog is about and for men, their redemptive wildness, and the women who wonder about the wildness, the hearts, and minds of men: much like Rolling Creek, and the wilderness around the creek. I am a father, and a husband, and for the most part … I behave.
There are two awe-inspiring children here: a swashbuckling young fellow; and a sweet daughter, tougher than hell (looking forward to dating, after her 25th birthday). An amazing wife who mothers with an art: beautiful and wise, beyond my comprehension. We both write. We are both psychotherapists. Please do not try this at home. Two dogs live here, but do not help with chores or finances. They are protective and spoiled. They love, and are loved; keeping mountain lions and bears (and tigers?) away.
